‘Franquettes is situated in South West France (dept 24) between the villages of Nabirat and Grolejac. The beautiful medieaval town of Domme is just 15 minutes drive away and is a must for all visitors to the Dordogne region.A trip to the historic market towm Sarlat is also recommended with it’s cobbled streets and quaint alleys.Busy shops, art galleries and resturants abound and there is usually an interesting variety of street entertainers performing throughout the main season. We are only 5 mins from the lake at Grolejac (boats & Beach) and 10 mins from the river Dordogne with it popular canoe hire service.

‘Franquettes’ is a French Perrigourdine style house built in the ivory coloured stone of this area.The bed & breakfast rooms are all on the grounf floor of a building that was desgned  to look like tobacco drying barn (sechoir de tobac ) There are many ancient examples of this style barn in the Dordogne region.
